Yes. Please contact Bruce Yerman bhyerman@gmail.com    or Sarah Yerman saritayerman@gmail.com for more information.

The dress code will differ according to your volunteer location.  The general request  is to wear professional-style clothing that is consistent with your assignment as a volunteer for the Temple Open House.  If your volunteer assignment is in the temple, please wear church attire, something you feel would be representative of serving in the Lord's House.  Keep in mind that you will be wearing shoe coverings while inside the temple, so comfortable walking shoes are acceptable and even encouraged since you will be on your feet for long periods of time.  If your assignment is in the parking lot or cleaning facilities, please wear comfortable, but nice classy attire.

Yes.  You are encouraged to bring either and will have at least two breaks during your shift.  There will be a break room for volunteers to store their lunch/snacks.  The Hosting Subcommittee will provide simple snacks and water in the break room as well.

  • Language translation.

  • Preparing missionary sack meals.

No, we welcome any person, age 11 turning 12 this year, and older, to volunteer.  Youth will have key volunteer opportunities such as helping put on shoe coverings and a few older young men/women can assist with a speaking part in the baptistry.

The ideal volunteer should live within the Chico Stake boundary, and be:

  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time.
  • Able to interact well with others.
  • Available to serve on the day and shift committed to.
  • A good representative and example of Christ-like values.
